=BFB= take 3rd/4th in Brazen One Night Cup PDF Print
Written by BFB Author

A great start to a new year. =BFB= kicked off 2010 gaming with a bang, with no practise, a few new substitutes and coming back from an extended break. =BFB= entered its first competition since rAge 2009. And I am pleased to report we played fantastically! The competition was Brazen's very own One Night Cup. Single elimination with 16 teams taking part.

The team comprised mostly of players from the laRd line-up drew in two new substitutes to help out as the evening went on. The captain of the current muPtarDs lineup Nick "Darkness" Dawns and former sniper for FuBaR. Cranky. Both players slotted in like naturals and the =BFB= had its first game. Facing off against a mix team called DJ's. The =BFB= players did not let up against the youngsters, the map was Crash, and it seemed like the slow play of DJ's favoured the AK's of the =BFB= players. The AK47 users top scoring and getting multiple picks time and time again. =BFB= won their first game 13 - 3, it was a sign of things to come.

Going into our second game of the evening, =BFB= would face off against the often talked about Prodigy. Prodigy are one of the up and coming teams of 2010 and after putting in many hours of gameplay and practise towards the end of last year, the team didn't want to take them lightly. This time around the map was chosen to be Strike. And on a range that tends to favour ranged players, the =BFB= SMG's however just tore through the Prodigy lines. Backed up by laRd's sniper Andrew "xiR" Harper, the pressure from our SMG's and the cover from our sniper led to Prodigy simply crumbling under the pressure. Mention must be made however at some fantastic clutch play by the =BFB= AK's. Cranky who plays AK for the =BFB= lineup managing to pull of several 1 vs 3 single handedly winning the rounds for =BFB=.

Following the Prodigy game however, was going to be the toughest game =BFB= has had to face since October of last year. Pantheon would be our next game, and it would be our last. The map was Crash, and Pantheon's SMG Gary "Craolia" Noble simply tore through the =BFB= lines. =BFB= lacked the basics of grenades, flash bangs and smokes and it showed we were out of practise. While we did managed to score a few rounds, it was not enough to stop Pantheon, =BFB= lost 6 - 13.

The final was once again a Pantheon vs Brazen game, with Brazen cleaning up 13 - 6 against Pantheon. A good night and a few good games for =BFB=. Our final placing was 3rd / 4th with Mint. And even though we are out of practise, it should be a sign of things to come!

Congratulations to =BFB= and lets make the finals of the up and coming Incredible Connection One Night Cups.
