The 2010 AGASA Call of Duty 4 Online League kicked off on the 15th February, powered by DoGaming. With close to 60 teams signed up this league was going to be a cracker!

laRd managed to place 3rd seed, meaning they would compete in the Premier League. While the muPtarDs placed 9th seed meaning they would play as the 1st place seed in the 1st Division.

The map for week one was selected as mp_crash. A map that has been favouring defenders as of late. laRd faced off against Brazen at the rAge 2009 finals and just lost the game 11 - 13. This time however they would be facing miNt Gaming.  The muPtarDs would be facing off against DyN. 

Starting with the muPtarDs game, in true =BFB= tradition they lost the knife round. And with the loss DyN chose to attack first, this was quite a shocking choice as teams generally choose the stronger side first. Even with the decision however, the muPs did not falter. Taking the first three rounds with relative ease. During the fourth round however DyN plants the bomb and tried to defend it. =BFB= managed to retake the site and in Thug begins to defuse the bomb. In the last moment of defusing and with the clock timer running out, the muPs panic as Thug is not responding on TS. A call comes in, "HIS TIMING OUT" and the muPs TK Thug to try defuse. Alas it was too late, and they lost the round.

Even with the comical situation the muPtarDs pushed on to win the half 9 - 3.  On attack DyN had absolutely no answer to the onslaught and the muPs simply rolled over their opposition. Winning the game with a final scoreline of 18 - 6.

1st Division Week 1

=BFB= muPtarDs currently tied for 1st on points 2nd overall on round difference. 

 laRd on the other hand had to play off against miNt Gaming. laRd and miNt have a colourful history meeting in a large number of quarter finals over the past 2 years. It was also laRd who knocked miNt out of the rAge 2009 competition in the lower bracket. This face off was also the first proper test of the laRd lineup.

By some miracle laRd managed to pick up the knife round without loosing a single player, not only did qu1k_sh0t manage to find a kill, but BambisRevenge stayed alive for the entire round. Both achievements extremely out of the ordinary.  With the knife fight decided laRd chose to defend first.

This proved to be the right decision, laRd won some fantastic clutches and went 5 - 0 up before miNt called a time-out to gather their thoughts.  After the time-out resumed miNt simply could not break the =BFB= defence and the half went 9 - 3 to laRd.

On attack however, laRd struggled. They lacked the co-ordination of a more practised team and struggled to get into the sites and plant the bomb. Eventually the game was brought back to 11 - 11 and a strong B side push won laRd the 12th round. In the final round of the game, qu1k_sh0t managed to plant the bomb surrounded by 4 miNt players. He was able to dispatch of 3 before being finally killed. miNt drew the game.  

Premier League Week 1

=BFB= laRd tied for 2nd on points and 3rd overall alongside 3 other teams on point difference.

Following the league games, laRd practised with Pantheon and pulled off some fantastic results loosing 11 - 13 then winning 14 - 10 on crash. As well as an extremely close 11 - 13 loss on strike. This shows that with some work the team can pull of some fantastic results.

In addition the muPtarDs faced off against laRd on backlot and crossfire and the games were extremely tight. Several 12 - 12 and 13 - 11 results. As such the muPtarDs and laRd are looking to do well in the second week of the AGASA Call of Duty 4 Online Leagues.
